The KinderWunschKlinik in Thalheim, Wels was founded in 2002 by Dr Leonhard Loimer (in the picture standing beside Dr Josef Pühringer, Head of Upper Austria).

Following his extensive education at the Lower Austrian Horn Hospital and his considerable experience in the area of endocrinology (= the study of the hormones) the then 40-year-old gynaecologist Dr Loimer wished to fulfil his dream of opening his own clinic for reproductive treatment.

Since its opening in 2002 the patient numbers in our modern institute in Wels have grown continuously year by year.

Despite of the worldwide economical crisis the year 2009 has been our most successful so far with over 1.100 treatments carried out by our team of 30 staff who are justly proud of their success.

The KinderWunschKlinik offers you a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere, modern hi-tech medicine and all-round first class service. All of this contributes to our outstanding success in achieving a pregnancy rate of 50% at the first attempt.

The IVF institute is of course open all year round and we are available for patients in treatment on Sundays and public holidays.

Since 2003 the clinic has been TÜV certificated (by the Technical Inspection Authority). This means that the whole clinic adopted a system of quality management and fulfils the requirements of EN ISO 9001:2008.
