What precautions should I take after the puncture?
If you received a light sedative or a general anaesthetic for the puncture you cannot drive a car for the rest of the day. The feeling of pressure and the abdominal pain should decrease soon after the puncture. If any further discomfort occurs (strong persistent abdominal pain, nausea, dizziness, fever, bleeding) get in contact with us immediately (tel. +43 (0) 72 42 / 22 44 66). We advise you to be careful for the next two to three days. Avoid swimming pools, saunas and hot baths, all of which can carry a high risk of infection. Drink plenty of fluids!!!

What do I do on the embryo transfer day?
Insert PROGESTERONE into your vagina on the day of the transfer according to your personal stimulation timetable. On your way to the KinderWunschKlinik it is imperative that you drink plenty of fluids,so that your bladder is full on arrival. This way the uterus is pressed into a straight position and the transfer is eased.

What should I do after the embryo transfer?
Avoid bodily and psychological stresses and strains. Don't take any medication (except for those prescribed for this treatment). Avoid solariums, saunas, baths and swimming pools! Do not visit the dentist. Also avoid strenuous exercise (you need to avoid sore muscles) and sunburn. Continue to drink plenty of fluids! Drastically reduce or better stop your nicotine and alcohol consumption!

IMPORTANT !
Because of the anticoagulatory drugs strong nidation bleedings can sometimes occur after the embryo transfer. This has nothing to do with a miscarriage (abortion) – a pregnancy can still exist! Do not discontinue your medication; contact the KinderWunschKlinik and arrange for an appointment with us or your own gynecologist.
