Samenspende an Lesben bald erlaubt?

Das Fortpflanzungsverbot für lesbische Frauen könnte aufgehoben werden. Der Oberste Gerichtshof (OGH) formuliert in einem Antrag an den Verfassungsgerichtshof massive Bedenken gegen das Verbot.

Lesbischen Paaren ist es derzeit in Österreich verboten, medizinisch unterstützte Fortpflanzung (Kinder per Samenspende) in Anspruch zu nehmen. Dieses Verbot wurde mit dem Gesetz über die eingetragene Partnerschaft ausgesprochen. Strafe: Bis 36.000 Euro. Jetzt könnte dieses Verbot fallen.

3D-Sonografie
Mit Hilfe der 3D-Sonographie ist es erstmals möglich, foto-realistische Bilder und Oberflächendarstellungen von Eibläschen während der Stimulation zu erhalten.
IMSI - Intrazytoplasmatische Morphologisch Selektierte Spermien Injektion
In einer Studie an 446 Paaren mit verminderter Spermienqualität des Mannes und mindestens dreijährigem Kinderwunsch (bei vorherigen erfolglosen ICSI-Versuchen) zeigte sich, unter Anwendung der IMSI im Vergleich zu einer herkömmlichen ICSI, eine viel höhere Schwangerschaftsrate.
Mitteleuropas Spermien halbiert
Alle befragten Experten sind sich einig , dass das derzeitige globale System , das Flexibilisierung propagiert und von Instabilität geprägt ist, die Fruchtbarkeit negativ beeinflussen könnte. "Mit der Globalisierung sinkt die Fertilitätsrate , das ist weltweit so" , sagt Richter.

Neben wirtschaftlichen und sozialen Gründen spielt auch die Psyche eine Rolle: "Besonders bei Frauen wirkt sich Stress negativ auf die Fruchtbarkeit aus. Stress kann dazu führen , dass kein Eisprung stattfindet" , erklärt Johannes Huber. Auch Unter- und Übergewicht können die Fruchtbarkeit einschränken.

Ältere Mütter haben mehr Kinder

Seit dem Tiefpunkt im Jahr 2002 steigt in der EU die Zahl der Babys. Ein Zusammenhang wird deutlich: Je älter die Mütter, desto höher die Geburtenraten.

Brüssel. Hätte es seit dem Jahr 1960 keine Zuwanderung gegeben, würden heute nur rund 70 statt 80 Millionen Menschen in Deutschland leben. Frankreichs Bevölkerung würde rund 55 statt 65 Millionen Menschen betragen. Doch Einwanderer allein werden die Bevölkerung Europas nicht auf einem stabilen Niveau halten. Dazu müssen die Europäerinnen mehr Kinder bekommen als die derzeit durchschnittlichen 1,6 pro Frau.

A new study has shown that IVF may not be linked to an increased risk of certain cancers among female patients. A team of Swedish researchers concluded that, although cancer or cancer treatment may increase the need for IVF, the risks of cancer post-IVF treatment were low.

Gynaecologist and IVF expert. Director of the KinderWunschKlinik Wels and Vienna

Dr Loimer was born in 1963 in Horn, Lower Austria. He began his medical training in 1995 after completing his medical degree at the Horn Hospital where he specialised in gynaecological endocrinology (hormones). In 1999, he moved to the Barmherzigen Schwestern Hospital in Linz and was soon subsequently promoted to Head Physician in the gynaecological department of the AKH Linz. He then specialised in the IVF sector gaining experience in Cambridge, Atlanta and Innsbruck. Dr Loimer has been the Manager and Medical Director of the KinderWuschKlinik since 2002.

Born in 1959 in Salzburg. After birth of her daughter in 1984 Dr. Düsing took her medical degree in Innsbruck and Wien. Promotion in April 1997. Jus practicandi in 2000. Her specialist training she started at the Oberndorf Hospital in Salzburg. Since March 2006 she had been working as head doctor for the Barmherzige Brüder Hospital in Linz with focus on prenatal diagnostics and obstetrics. Since January 2010 Dr. Düsing enforces the motivated team of medicines at the KinderWunschKlinik Wels.

Dr Teiche was born in 1963 in Zurich. Raised in Munich and Salzburg, she took her medical degree in Innsbruck. She completed her specialist training at the Klinikum Wels. She undertook endocrinology training in Hamburg, Berlin and Munich. Since 2001, she has been resident specialist doctor for gynaecology and obstetrics in Wels. Dr Swoboda was born in 1969 in Vienna. He took his medical degree in Vienna and Graz, furthering his education with the University Prof. Dr Wilfried Feichtinger in Vienna. Graduation in 1994 (Vienna), he became a scientific assistant to Prof. Dr Wilfried Fechtinger, specialising in IVF and ICSI. From 1994-97, he completed his medical training at the Ried im Innkreis Hospital, continuing here until 2001 with his specialist training before undergoing further training in prenatal diagnostics in London and Basel. Having worked (in 1999) in the first FMF registered centre for NT-screening in Upper Austria, he gained medical specialist status in 2001. In 2003, he had his own private office in Ried im Innkreis and was Head Physician at the Ried Hospital from 2004. He has been Reproduction Physician at the KinderWunschKlinik Wels since 2005.

Born in Lódz, Poland, she took her medical degree in Lódz and finished it in Vienna in 1979. Her specialist training for anaesthesia and intensive medicine she completed at the Klinikum in Wels. From 1989 she was Head Physician in Wels. In 2007 she got retired. Since then Dr. Grüll has been working at the KinderWunschKlinik as anaesthesist.

A mother of three, Dr Bsteh was born in Salzburg and took her psychology degree in Innsbruck. Since 1992, she has worked freelance with a psychological office in Wilhering near Linz. Since 1994, she has supported couples with unwanted childlessness through the IVF treatments - for 9 years in the Landesfrauenklinik Linz and since 2003 with the KinderWunschKlinik Wels. She has been active for the past five years at the “Association for Foster and Adoptive Parents”, where she supports parents who decide on fostering or adopting after unsuccessful fertility treatment.

Following her final school examinations, Mrs Stieger studied Biology in Salzburg for 5 years, focussing on cell physiology. In 2003, she had the opportunity of an internship and her interest in reproductive biology grew from here. She has worked for the KinderWunschKlinik since May 2005 and is an enthusiastic member of the team.

Biologist
Dr. Zečević studied Biology with focus on cell physiology and bio analytics at the university of Salzburg. Her special training she had at the Klinikum Kreuzschwestern in Wels (Institute for medical microbiology and hygienic) as well as in the central blood station in Linz. Since October 2007 Dr. Zečević has worked for the IVF laboratory of the KinderWunschKlinik and supports especially patients from ex Yugoslavia.

Here she tries to fulfil the desire for a child of our patients with lots of enthusiasm.

Born in Wels, she is married with two children. She took her degree at the Akademie für medizinisch-technische Laboratoriumsdienste in Vienna. She then undertook research in the area of cell culture at the Universitätsklinik für Innere Medizin III / Nephrology. After 15 years in Vienna, she returned to Upper Austria and since May 2003, she is working at the KinderWunschKlinik. Because Mrs Ferrara had to wait three years for her first child, she understands the difficulties faced by patients.

Martina Mayer successfully graduated as biomedical analyst at the Akademie für Biomedizinische Analytik in LKH Steyr. After two years working in the histologic lab at the KH Ried i. Innkreis, she changed to the Universitätsklinik für Frauenheilkunde in Vienna, where she gathered experience in the area of reproduction medicine. Since its opening in 2002, Mrs. Mayer works at the KinderWunschKlinik and enforces our IVF-lab team, after 2 years in maternity leave.

Born in Linz in 1968, she took her general qualification for university at the Handelsakademie Rudigierstraße in Linz in 1988. After a professional training in accounting and financial control, Mrs Loimer moved into the advertising branch and for five years was responsible for the sales campaign for Mediaprint. Following a six-year maternity leave, she took on the role of Commercial Director and Marketing for the KinderWunschKlinik.

Born in Linz in 1982. After finishing the diploma for health care in 2002, Mrs. Huemer was able to gain important experience in stationary healthcare in the AKH in Linz and after that as ward manager of the dermatology at the clinical center in Wels. In the last two years she worked for the Baxter plasma center in Linz where she was responsible for the laboratory, patient care and hygiene. Since completing the matriculation examination in June 2009 Mrs Huemer supports the team of the KinderWunschKlinik and there she specialised in the areas of patient care and initial training in drugs and medication.

Born in Lisbon, Portugal, in 1974 and moved to Austria in October 2004. She is married and has one daughter. After 11 years working as a secretary in several branches in Portugal, Mrs. Fritscher joined our team in 2006. She is specialised in patient care and initial training in drugs and medication and is your spokesperson in all matters relating patients coming from abroad and egg cell donation treatments.

After finishing the HBLA for economic professions in Ried, Mrs Heigl worked 5 years in the field of controlling and after those 5 years as assistant. Since August 2010 she has been supporting Mrs Marchgraber in the department for accounting and controlling.

Mrs. Schalk was born 1966 in Wels and has one son. After basic school, she graduated as a trained retail saleswoman. Soon however, she discovered her interest in the medical area. Born in 1987 in Banja Luka (BiH). Mrs. Maric is native born Croatian and she finished the Academy for Economical Professions in Wels with focus on health coaching and health management. She speaks German and Croatian fluently as well as English and Italian. Since January 2010 Mrs. Maric is responsible for the secretary and the reception of the KinderWunschKlinik Wels. She is never tired to organize a perfect timing and arrange your dates up to your personal intentions.

Born January 1977 in Steyr. After finishing her degree at the Health and Nurse's Training School in Steyr in 1999, she worked for 2 years in a rehab centre in Bad Hall. Following this, she was active in field service in the area of heart and vascular surgery. In 2007 she changed to the endoscopic outpatient department at the Elisabethinen in Linz, where she gathered wide experience in all matters relating the outpatient area. Mrs. Freidhager enforces the KinderWunschKlinik team at the doctor's practice in Linz since November 2010 and is responsible for the assistance of our assigning gynaecologists and urologists.

Born June 1968 in Bogen, Lower Bavaria. After finishing her training for pharmaceutical commerce 1986, she worked 24 years in a pharmacy. Mrs. Zaglmann has one son and represents the KinderWunschKlinik in Germany since April 2011.
She is the spokesperson for German couples with questions relating our clinic, gives them general important information and prepares them for a first consultation.
